hey guys, i just got a hid conversion kit for my 03' L. i'm having trouble taking out the headlight assembly. ( pulling up on the two levers?) i tried messing around with those but i dont want to break anything. Has anyone done a hid swap that can kind of walk me through the process. Thanks in advance.

 

If you can't pull those two tabs up, then drink about 7 beers and try again, they'll come up.

 

Pull up harder, and maybe push the headlamp in while you pull the tab, they will come out undamaged. It will be tricky re-installing afterwards with the 3 guide pins but they will re-install the same way.

Cant help with the HIDs though.

 

thanks guys. i figured it out. you dont even have to take the headlights out. pain in the *** mounting new ballasts but blue hids look sick. attach some pics soon.
