Post hellwig performance traction control springs?

has anyone used hellwigs traction control springs?

i'm too lazy to go downstairs to use the scanner.

the cal-trac bars seem to be a lot to mess with.. i want something i can bolt on & leave alone.. i dont want to have to adjust something every time i go to the track.

any input guys?

I saw the same thing and thinking about doing it. As long as you have 2"/2.5" wide springs(ours are 2.5") and at least 20" between the rear axle and the front spring purch then they will work. The price is right too at 50 bucks...

Hello Brooks,

I too, am interested to know if this is an easy solution to the rearend windup.

It sure would beat Caltracks for installation.

Traction springs

Well Brook I'll tell ya how I would test them. At the track when I brake torque my L to get the tires hot most of the time my L starts to buck....meaning that the springs are loading and unloading trying to buckle or wrap. With those Helwig bars that won't be possible. So there should be no bounch in the rear...Also I just got a new catalog...No. 652J-07 that gives you 10% off if you spend more than 50 bucks. Jeff

I built a set of bolt on traction bars for my truck. They just clamp on the springs with U-bolts. They are "slapper" type and can be adjusted via snubber spacers.

Not real high tech, but easy, effective and consistant. I could post some pictures if anyone is interested. If there was enough interest, maybe become a vendor on this board.
