What plugs/ gap for #2 upper ????

Hi, i'm a new member here, i have a 2000 Lightning. Mods are k&N, Magnaflow exhaust, and i just put a 2.75 upper pulley with the idler. I put in the TR6 plugs @ .40 gap and i feel a misfire in idle. I changed the gap to .38 and still feel the misfire and now and then a POO noise out the exhaust.. I'm trying to get as close as posible to the idle it had with the motorcraft AGSF12FM1 plugs.. Thanks..

The TR6s idle like crap compared to the stock plugs. With only 2#s added boost, I would(and did) run the stock plugs at the stock gap. It will run noticably better.

IMO CT top gun is correct, 2lbs extra is OK on stock plugs. TR6's have always had a rep of the poor idol and a slight miss but there dependable for so many apps most people are willing to trade one for the other.

Thanks for the advise, i put the stock plugs (new) gap> .35 and the truck missfires the same or worst.. I've put back the stock pulley with the stock plugs gap> .45 and the truck still has a missfire in idle and when i drive slow (1200-1600rpms).. It never did this before i put the upper pulley, i'm starting to believe that a coil/ coils have gone bad..??
Also, do you guys recommend this upper pulley setup i'm doing or is there a better setup?? Thanks

The 2# upper is a nice improvement over stock with very low risk. I ran that setup with a FTVB for a while, and combined with an aggressive tune via Predator, had a good running truck.
It does sound like you have a coil pack out. Maybe you can borrow one for testing. Are they stock coil packs? If they are aftermarket, I would go back to stock ones.

Actually, the coils i have are the originals.. The truck has close to 90k miles so they where bought ready to replace any how.. You just answered my question, didn't know whether to go with the stocks or aftermarket..
Upper pulley runs ok but i will pump up the boost once i get the truck running ok..
