Cool Ran my first Vette today

Pulled up to a light w/ a C5, don't know what year. Wound it up to about a grand and dumped it. Had him by 1/4 to 3/4 length of my truck till maybe 50 (I forgot to pay attention), then he started leaving me so I shut down.

I tried to pass him so I could give a thumbs up, 'cause he really did beat me eventually, but he kept going a bit fast to keep ahead, and by the time I got up to him he was turning off into a supermarket.

I had my buddy in the truck (250 lbs) and I had a full-sized Defender arcade game in the back! That beast has gotta be at least 250 itself, so all in all, I had at least an extra 500 lbs on me.

Stock 01 L. Not bad. And mine is the slug that only dyno'd 310 rwhp.

I coulda swore I saw him rowing gears, but I figure there's no way I would've pulled him so long unless he was running an automatic.

I'm LMAO. I mean...you had an arcade game in the bed of the truck! I assume this is the upright version of that old classic game (played that all the time when I was a kid).

This is just hilarious. Honestly, I have raced a few people with stuff under my tonneau, but I have never raced anyone with something that is sticking out the bed of the truck. I would have loved to see that race.

Very sweet. I guess Defender was able to handle 0-50 in 5.xx seconds ok?

I can't keep a straight face. Damn, a arcade machine in back. Bet when you dropped the hammer, the machine said "TILT" ... Cool story.

Great story. A few weeks ago, when I had a full bed load of very nice smelling Cherry wood from a tree I cut up in my yard, pulled up besides two Cobras at two different lights and got no takers. I figure the wood came in at 500 lbs. I nailed it at each light and was really suprised to get nothing for my trouble.

Yeah, the Defender's an old full-sized upright arcade game. I had it laying down on its side, but it poked out the top a ways. It's a tight fit w/ the tailgate up, so it didn't have an inch or two to move.

I had been moving my uprights out of storage and into my new house all day.

The guy I had w/ me has a Mustang GT and thinks he can hang w/ me. After I pulled on the Vette, I said, see? I told you can run w/ Vettes!

He said, "oh, no way."

I said, "WHAT?! What did I just do?"

"Oh, that was an older Vette."

What a dumbass. I gotta run him just for fun sometime.

AC great race, now you have to find him and race him without the game in the back.

I raced and beat a slowmaro the other day with my friends lawn tractor in the back. You should have seen the look on the guys face when we got to the next light. Man I love this truck.

Defender was a favorite of mine as well... I miss playing some of the older "classics". Thankfully, I can still find some places with pinball machines...

Don't even ask BfB to clue you in. It will turn into a debate about racing again. You know what he is trying to say. You don't need to ask.
