Sal...
I'm sorry to hear the news.
If it's of any consolation, you lived the dream while it lasted.
You were famous in this community from coast to coast, you were "the man" owning and running your own prominent Ford Performance shop. It may have not been as romantic as it sounds on the day to day business level, but you achieved a goal that alot of us (especially me) still just daydream about because we don't have the nerve to try.
Good luck with whatever path you choose.
I still have fond memories of my trip to Long Island (my first trip to NY), sleeping on my bedrug in your parking lot because I arrived earlier than expected, spending the day at your then "new" shop, eating my first slice of "authentic" New York Pizza with you and Lisa.
I hope you don't mind me posting this picture of you in brighter days:
"HIM" (sal as captain chaos)
the rest of the pics from my visit to Sal's shop:

again Sal, good luck to you and thanks for the memories!
sincerely,
Chris Haynie

Wishing you the best in your new path Sal.
Still running your tune on the truck, and still running top notch I might add.
A final to an original "Lightning Whisperer"

Sal, good luck in whatever you do. You helped me with my 99 and with a great road race program on my flip chip for my 03. I had one of your first air filters back in 99. You always made time for me and I'm glad I had the chance to meet you in Houston at the HALO dyno day back in 03.

Sal & Lisa,
I am saddend to see you go. You have been a great asset to the Lightning community over the years.
Here's a sentimental tidbit...I am still running my ORIGINAL PSP intake tube...purchased in the summer of 2000!!! ( When a 2# lower pulley was a time-bomb! )
I wish you both the very best in your future!

Sal,
It's sad to hear this! But I'm glad I got to get to know you and drove across country to have you tune my truck. (have a video to prove it).
You helped me on the phone several times when I did not purchase anything from you until well after.
You have gone above and beyond for the lightning community, including founding NLOC.
You have left your mark on the lightning community to all time.
THANK YOU!
MARK NAWROCKI, BA, JD.
