Well tonight was set to be the night of the race between me and the 99 Silver ACR Viper. I bolted on the ET Streets and went out to find him. I soon ran into his son. I asked him where his dad was at and he told me that the only way he would race would be a full mile at $1,000 a mile. I was like WTF, your dad is just making excuses so I just drove off. Later that night I ran into a friend with a built 98 T/A who wanted to race so I was like might as well since I already bolted on the ET Streets. So we raced twice and I won both races by about 1 1/2 - 2 car lenghts. I was actually surpised I could hold him off without using nitrous due to the amount of mods he has
(Cams/Heads and all the usual bolt on's.) So after the race we pull back into our hang out spot and there sets the ACR. I was like yes!. I went over and asked him if he wanted to race and he was like sure as long as it's at least a mile. I was like my little sister knows that you will top end my truck so let's just run the 1/4. He was like the 1/4 is for sissy's and it takes a real man to race a full mile. That's when I just told him that let's just go run a 1/4 and see who has the fastest machine. He was like only if we put some money on it. I was like okay I will put 100 bucks on it. He said no way would he run his car hard for $100 but he would run for $500. I was like I really don't want to risk $500 bucks on this race. So then he started in on me how that he would race me in the 1/4 for $500 and he would start behind me and would pass me like I was sitting still and win by 3-4 car lenghts. I was like okay if you want to bet $5000 bucks then that's fine but I want you to start beside of not behind me because I don't want to hear you crying because you gave me a head start. I also stated that the only way I would race would be if we both give the $500 to someone else to hold. He simply wouldn't do it so I refused to race. He wouldn't budge so I just pulled out a $100 bill and handed to him and told him that I would give the $100 bill to him just for racing me but he declined. All in all this guy simply didn't want to race. Their was no less than 50 people their and the only way he could get out of the race was to raise the stakes so high that any reasonable person would decline. I wished you guys could hear all the junk this guy was talking to me about my truck. He was like I wouldn't waste my time running a Ford pickup truck and so on. That's when I just stated that me and my 40,000 less expensive pickup will simply bust your *** in the 1/4 so if you want to race just follow me. That's when I left and of course he didn't follow me. Oh well I tried to get him to race but I guess he didn't want to lose to my tow vehicle!!! LOL

I can understand when someone doesn't want to race. That's their right and I will never dispute that. But to have a guy that talks ***** and refuses to race? I'm sorry, but that's being a little b****. The bottom line is I would NEVER degrade somebodys car(or truck), especially after declining to race them. That just isn't cool. Maybe you should tell everybody that he's scared to race you, if he keeps talking smack. Sooner or later he will be either forced to race you, or find a different hangout.....

On a good note. When are you gonna be back in Nashville? I might have me a lowly stock Chevrolet that just may be able to hang within a car or 2 of ya. We can run 'em 10ft, 60ft, 1/8, 1/4, or whatever. I just like to go fast! Take care.......

 

He had obviously done some research and figured out you had a decent chance of beating him in the 1/4...

 

I've never seen such a complicated race before?

I’ve raced many Vip’s before and only won to a 94, but either way keep on it.

This one is simple. All you have to do is hound him. When he's parked with all his minions talking down your L, pull beside and just keep revving revving revving you motor as you stare at him to let him hear the Eaton spinning up a bit. Just keep doing it every time you see him. Be relentless about this and eventually, you will **** him off to the point to where he will run to get you off his back. You should also make a cluckking sound as you rev you monster. I'm serious. This ********* has got to go down.

 

I'd race your L for 100 buck just to see your pretty taillights and hear that sweet sweet Eatons... and just look at my truck hehe.

"It takes a real man to race a mile." I'm glad you didn't do that one for any amount of money, especially on the street. Imagine the speeds the both of you would be hitting. Not worth dying over. He wouldn't have done that either probably. I'll bet he's a wienie and a real bas**** in daily traffic trying to impress everyone. Must be an inferiority complex.

I saw an older, surgeon-type like that in Columbus, OH when the Vipers first came out. He had a pretty young girl with him too. (Of course) I swear his nose was bent upwards, no kidding. And he was DIVING in an out of lanes and he'd look over with that "snobby" look at the car he just passed to see how "impressed" they were. What a turd. I really wanted to punch him.

Once you got ahead simply pull in front of him on a two lane road. Ride right in the center and he can't pass you! Had a friend in an Isuzu Trooper beat another friend with a 351W Mustang like this. We laughed our azzes off!

Bummer Dude. Hankfan, I don't know where your from but if you've never been beaten on the street there must not be very many quick cars in your area. Don't get me wrong, L's are awesome. I own 2, but man around here if your not running atleast high 9's low 10's your gonna be beaten every time you go out to the street races. I'm not defending this puss, just throwing in my .02. If I were you I would back up to his car and do a powerbrake. If that don't **** him off enough to race, nothing will. If nothing else, his car wouldn't be too pretty anymore Or just bitch slap his kid

NIXSVT- Actually there are some really fast cars around here but for some reason you can't get any of them to race. Last year I out ran one of the fastest non power adder cars in my area and every since then no one will race me since I added the NOS kit over winter. Man people think that since I have NOS that no one can beat me. LOL!! I know my time is coming when I run across the wrong one but man you never know what will happen if you don't race!

I agree with NIX on the powerbrake but not up to his car... I'd just pull up every time you see him rev it up a few times and just to get his attention smoke the tires and leave his stuck up a$$ sucking up your smoke... That should get him to race... Also call his bluff and tell him you will race 1 mile if he first races the 1/4 mile because you know that he will win the mile because a brick can't just cut through wind... If he still won't race you call him a chicken sh#t in front of his friends and then remind him that smack talking another person's ride and then not racing them is childish and in my opinion counts as a forfeit...
