As much smack as this guy was talking I figured that he would simply love to race since I am currently unbeaten on the street here and he knows this. I fiqured that he would think his Viper was unbeatable and that their would me no way a pickup could hang with his Viper! I guess he must have had some second thoughts when I was so eager to race. Oh well evertime I see him out I am going to make my presence known. He will evently race and when he does I will be ready!

HANKFAN, I know what your talking about. In the last five years or so all you find are ricers and Camaros. The big boys don't even bother with us. If you have a street legal 9 second Lightning on the other hand, not only would you be my hero but you might be able to peak thier interest. I get more respect from the big boys in my 95' L than my 00'. Most of them know me and just assume that I've rodded the crap out of it. Little do they know I'm leaving it original. Anyway, keep slapping his kid around. He'll come around. He'll either race you or shoot you

HANKFAN, this guy is a spineless wimp. I can't believe it. He is afraid to race a truck! You may not want to push it, he probably can't drive that car anyway. He could just be an accident waiting to happen.

Not to criticise anyone's lifestyle, but I once saw someone being goaded into a race they didn't want. Maybe you can use this on the guy. The punch line was this: "Your wife must be a lesbian since she married a c*nt."

Cool

This guy is obviously too chicken ***** to drive his Viper over 80MPH. Tell him to go buy an Kia or Hyundai if the car is too much for him.

Just so you know what you're up against. Here are some #'s on the ACR from Motor Trend 2001/2002 New Car Buyers Guide.

0-60MPH= 4.16
Quarter mile= 12.19/119.15
0-100-0MPH= 14.37
One-mile acceleration= 30.49/164.55
Braking 60-0MPH= 121 feet

Yep, Tundra said it. You've already beaten him. He obviously is NOT as confident in his car (and/or driving abilities) anymore if he is making such ridiculous racing offers to weasel out of it now. I mean, wtf...as he said, it's a stinkin' POS Ford TRUCK, how could his superior car (and ego) NOT win, right?!?!? And a 1-mile race?! GAH!! Yeah, that's a common standard that people use to race...NOT!! There is nowhere on these U.S. roads (esp. in the city) that it is safe to do friggin' 160+ in a street race.

That guy seems to be quite the puss. Talking smack but then unwilling to back up the words? Bah, what a sack!

My apologies to all Viper owners out there to whom this guy is an insult. Vipers are GREAT cars, but if you are going to talk smack, have the backbone to live up to it. If you simply don't want to race, just say so, but keep the smart-**** smack out of it.

Grats Hank on backing a ****y smack-talking Viper owner into his own losing corner Now when he talks that sh*t, he just looks even dumber.

Hank,
Just tell everyone to go ask this guy about his Viper. Have them act interested for a couple seconds, then tell him they heard he chickened out to a pickup. He'll get sick of that pretty fast.

#1: An ACR Viper will blow your doors off through the 1/4 (some times range from high 11's to 12.19 @ 119.15 ON FACTORY RADIALS!).

#2: If he can drive his car properly you will lose, most likely.

I know you want to have some fun, but make sure you do it safely. What are your times, btw?

BfB- You sound just like the owner of the ACR. I have yet to run my L in the 1/4 with the NOS but I feel sure that I will run at least 12.20 or better. I will also be able to run close to this time on the street since I am running ET streets so the launch will be easy. The ACR on the other might be able to run 12.20 at the track but I would love to see any where close to these times on the street! I would love to see this guy try to get a good launch on the street with factory rubber. I would be I know already what the outcome would be. I would pull him out of the hole a good 2-3 cars because of his wheel spin. As soon as he sees me pulling away his first reaction is going to be to get into the throttle more and he is going to spin even more. By the time he gets his car together the race is over and my POS Ford truck (As He Called It) just busted his 72K car in the 1/4.

There are Lightnings with bolt ons running high 11s/low 12s. The ACR will pull those kinds of times with a driver capable of showing enough restraint not to melt the tires off the line. Judging by the punk attitude of this particular Viper owner, I doubt he is one of them. A Lightning on ET Streets is a no brainer. Hold down the gas and hang on. I'd put my money on the Lightning for sure in the 1/8, probably in the 1/4. Anyone with any sense isn't going to race past the 1/4 mile on the street in vehicles that are already going 115+ in 1/4.
