i ended up finding a NOS recall kit from someone on another site (i think he worked at a dealer in OK). bought it from him since while my truck was at WMS getting the once over & the IC pump replaced, JJ checked into the IC recall through oasis. he saw that my IC was done twice, once early under warranty, the other was a customer pay (obviously before i bought the truck). but it didnt say that it was replaced with the 10 row. so i'd rather be safe than sorry, so i bought the recall kit & figured i'd hold onto it incase i started to have problems. if i have the intake apart sometime, then i can just verify that i have the 9 row or 10 row in there at that time.

I looked all over Amazon and cant find any replacement Intercooler... heat exchangers and pumps yes... But no Intercooler. I ended up finding it here if you guys are having a hard time finding a replacement. and it wasn't $1500 either! Ford Lightning Intercooler

LFP or Trick Performance are the ones to get intercooler cores from now

sorry but you should've tried Lightning Garage or Lightning Rodder (sites mainly for these aging hit rods), not a site where most of the members think tint, HID's and a stereo are performance mods

 

also gas tank straps were recalled Had all 3 done on my '99
