Red face 01 clunk?

What's the clank I hear from my front end backing out and into my driveway? I didn't think the 01 sufferred from this dreaded syndrom! One more question. Do you have to slam your door shut to make sure you get a good seal? I sure do.

Uhh, not sure about the front end clunk, but i can for sure second the slamming of the doors to get em shut. But, i figured out that since its just a regular cb thre's little air space therefore it has a small amount of air space. I found that if u just crack the window about an inch the doors shut a whole lot better.

Cool

There is a great difference between the sound of the door closing on my 01 compared to my old 99. It just sounds more solid. And it does seal better. Alot less wind noise at highway speeds. The first time I got pulled over, I was doing 90 on the turnpike going home after work. I just happened to look-up in my rearview mirror and saw a trooper behind me, then I looked down at the speedo. YIPES!!

I've had my '01 for about a month I guess, and it has clunked LITERALLY since day ONE with only like 7 miles on it. My doors were hard to close for the first week or so, I'd have to go back and check and they'd still be cracked open after I'd shut them. they don't do it anymore though.

later,
chris
