here is a link that will give more information about the FunFord Weekend for any of you thinking about coming down here in a couple of weeks. www.funford.com I'd say it's going to be an approximately 2 to 3 hour drive for you Northern Virginia/DC area people. the fun ford site has a map if you look under event schedule and then Richmond. Virginia Motorsports Park is just about 10 minutes south of Petersburg which is about 20-30 minutes south of Richmond. if anybody is planning on staying for both days then I'd be happy to assist if you need help choosing a decent place to stay. anyway, have a nice day. later.

sincerely,
chris

hey Ivanhoe, sorry so long to get back to you. I don't think that there is a Marriot in Petersburg which is the city nearest to the track. I know that there is one in downtown Richmond (about 25-30minutes away) basically straight up 95N from the track, easy to get to. there is are some "fairfield inns" and "courtyard by marriots" closer, in Chester and maybe in petersburg. check out www.marriot.com and do a search for Richmond, VA and you'll come up with several choices, chester and petersburg are closer, but I think that the downtown Richmond Marriot is probably what you are looking for. It is on Broad Street and is very easy to get to, only about 1/2 mile off of I-95. any more questions, I'll be glad to answer. promise it won't take two weeks this time.

sincerely,
chris
