Maybe its a conspiracy. see all the police figure that people want to try and get another 5 to 10 MPH out of the speed limit, so they mess with the speedo's to make you think your doing 8 over the speed limit when your only going 3 over the speed limit.

Thats it I bet!

While I haven't thought to check mine at the track, I have been flashed by a cop when my cruise was set on 73mph. I was wondering why he was bothering me, but maybe my speedo is off. Thanks for the tip...I'll check it out.

I noticed the discrepancy as well - my gauge is about 2 mph off of what the digital readout shows.

Me too. I checked mine with a hand-held radar unit and it was dead on. I was also hit with laser by the OSP - again, dead on.

I guess it just depends on each individual gauge. I've also got a very accurate boost gauge too, as verified by diagnostic vacuum and pressure gauges. Got lucky in that dept.
