I would have to believe the Lighting will blow it away.

4.6L N/A vs. 5.4L (possibly modded) Supercharged? I'm pretty sure its no more than 1,500# difference between the two.

I'll put my money on the L hands down

As someone who owns both a '01L and '06 GT vert 5 speed I feel qualified to answer this. Both vehicles are rated by ford to run a 13.9 1/4. The L will embarrass the Mustang out of the hole but it falls on it's face at 80 MPH. The Mustang will pull hard well past 100 MPH so I guess it depends on how long the race is.

Cool

HI!... Well my father's 07 MUSTANG GT, convertible weighs in at about 4000LBS. The lightnings are around 4700lbs. Thats only 700LBS difference. My buddies got a stock 06 GT, 5-speed that has gone 13.4E.T. With a good driver in the GT it would be a close race, if the Lightning is stock.

Hmmm. My '06 GT vert weighed a hair over 3600 lbs before my stereo upgrade.

My brother has a 99 lightning bone stock and raced an 05 with heads, a cam, programmer, and some other small bolts on and my brother stayed at his back bumper the whole time, Now my brother has some small bolts on but the guy will not race him.

Stock for stock on the street I think the "L" would win.

Depends on the driver of the Mustang.

It would be very close.

Based on your drive train loss @25%
Than the L only has 285RWHP stock

Drive train loss is more like 17%

Those numbers must be threw the automatic. My friend has an 06 auto with mods and only made 250 to the rear wheels. I have seen an 06 bone stock motor and 5 speed pull 280 rwhp on a dyno same day.
