Same here, I have seen them all over the place. I figured it was to hold some of the wireing, ect. so they could install the stuff easier. I do not know.

Maybe Ford tried using the rubber bands for the the blower belt, felt they didn't cut enough corners?

They are a hi-performance Lightning specific harmonic turbulance isolation system.

Yea, i've seen a lot of rubber bands myself uner the car, and wrapped around the brake fluid resevoir. I thought the rubber band might've been to hold it on, so i didn't take it off. But, yea, i've noticed a considerable amount of rubber bands on my truck.

Ya I have pulled off a bunch of rubber bands too. When you think you found them all, a few more allways turn up.

I found a rubber band around the M/C and resevoir when I picked up my '01L. When it gets dry and falls off, I'll keep an eye out for leaking brake fluid.
