Thumbs down

We did about 40 or so runs on the dyno with the OBD2 hooked up as well as a breakout box and emulater and a A/F meter. And the truck did this every time. With 6 psi I could barely feel it then I went to 9psi.and there it was now I'm at 12 psi. and it is really bad.The only thing I changed was the power the truck made and this got worse. With the blower belt off it does not do it at all,and thats leaving the chip in and injectors the same. It's driving me crazy!!

Is there any kind of retard or delay that ford builds in right before TC. locks up?

Interesting.... If it is the torque converter locking out maybe there is no loss in power at the wheels, it only seems like a dead spot because the engine is dropping rpms and increasing it's load.

I guess you are just losing power before it locks out the converter (probably in the form of drivetrain losses --- heat).

I would still love to hear from some tuners on this issue.

Any other 01L dyno plots out there?

Cool

The lock-up feature in the converter is NOT the same as the stall speed. There is actually a clutch in the converter that performs the lock-up function.

I didn't think to put this up the other day. When I'm cruising along at 70 and give it some gas it will drop to 3rd. Give it some more gas the rpm's will go up then back down about 300 without me letting off the gas or anything. I never noticed how many rpm's it's running at before it drops.
