Unhappy Flood problems

Woke up this morining to find my house surrouded by water. The L had water just up to the bottom of the door but didnt get inside(thank God). It is slowly going down and soon I hope I can get it out of here. Better than what happened to my Boxster. I feel really sick. Anyway can water get in any other vital areas on the L that I should look at. The side pipes were completly under water. Ive been here 21 yrs. and this is the worse flood yet. Sigh

Sorry to hear how your weekend started. The L should be ok as long as the water stayed that low. I've been caught in a flood before and the exhaust filled w/H2O (not into the engine) and experienced no problems after I got all the H2O out by starting the car. Good Luck and Stay on High Ground.

I feel for you.....My girlfriend woke me up at 3 am to tell me the lightning had about an inch to go before its in the cab. I **** in my pants and tried to figure out a way to get the truck up higher. The truck was backed in against a curb. So I backed the back tires up on the curb and waded through 4 ft of water to find some bricks from someones flower bed. Then I pulled forward with the front tires up on the bricks. Instant 2 inch lift....THANK GOD>>>>>>>>

Cool

Really glad to hear most of you were able to get the Ls to higher grounds! Not the right time to be out cruising or driving in big H as everything is under water and there are road obstacles everywhere you go.
Luckily waters are reseding and we haven't had much rain after the 14" we got last night.
The "dry creek" next to my house got to within a foot of overflowing and I was pumping water out of my pool like crazy!
Good luck to all and stay dry.

The rear end has an air vent tube. If water got in there and to the rear end you need to immediately change the fluid in the rearend. Don't forget the FORD friction additive for the positraction rearend otherwise you will ruin the clutches. check for water in the transmission if it got up there.
