Dealing with the Dealers...............
Man dealing with truck dealers sucks. I found via the svt ford site my nearest dealer about 170 miles away. No big deal and he had a silver one according to the web site. Then I put in the purchase request and they only have a black one and a white one. NO big deal I like the white and so I call him. He then goes into how it is such a good deal to get a thousand off the sticker and how he can only get me such and such for my trade (about 3000 less than it should be). They want me to give them retail for the L and take wholesale for my trade I don't think so....So now I have 3 other purchase requests out on 3 silver ones and we will see who deals these other dealers are about 275 miles away or so and that kind of irritates me, however I will do what I have to.
In my latest purchase requests I made the deal to them upfront in my email and I told them what I needed, and what I would pay. I will pay sticker if they give me retail for my trade. I think they should do this it is a good deal for all involved, or I will do a wholesale to wholesale trade and it is almost exactly the same numbers. It amazes me how when the economy is down and they say they want to deal they just won't. He said he is still working up a deal and will get back to me tommorrow. We will see.
I am hoping one of the other dealers is more willing to deal.
From what I figure they should make at least 2000 profit from my deal and maybe more depending on what they sell my trade for. I think this is more than fair with them.
Sorry to rant so long it is just frustrating, I have the approval on the loan and know what I want and they just drag their feet.
Anybody in colorado have expeirience with the svt dealers there I am talking with them now and wonder if there is one that makes better deals than the other and if there is also one who tends to be more honest.
