"Our pistons are stock that have been fly-cut to lower the compression. My buddy at Ford R&D clued me in."

Andy, does your buddy work in the motor division of Ford R&D? ;-) Just kidding, LOL.

Seriously, our pistons are NOT stock 5.4 pistons that have been fly cut. They are Lightning specific pistons made just for our trucks. The entire top of the piston is dished, there are no valve reliefs.

As a side note. Who is going to use stock pistons or rods etc. etc. when you start dreaming about twin turbos or turbo/supercharger combinations. A lot of thought has to go into these combinations and materials. Throwing money at it is not a wise choice as there is always someone out there telling you that you need this product or that all to harvest your hard earned dollars.

Yes he was. He was the engineer that was responible for the transmission on the gen 2 transmission. He drove the test L for a full year with a 7000 lb trailer duribility testing. He was also one of the two hi speed test drivers. The stories he tells me are amazing. He now is the transmission expert at the St Louis Plant. I race with him all the time.
