the changer went on the tranny "hump" under the seat.
had to mount the brackets to a plate, then mount the plate to the floor. had to do that because the changer was sticking over the edge of the hump.

you cant see the changer unless you stick your head between the dash and the seats.

Ive seen you post about Alpine being made in Mexico twice now. Does it really matter? As long as it's a quality product and up to Alpine standards, it doesnt matter.

I'd still take Alpine over anythign else right now. I've been through 5-6 Alpines in different cars and never had a problem. Love them

I've always had great luck with all my kenwood headunits, and now there coming out with some awesome MP3 players that I don't think anyone else can touch. Plus there's always the P907 touch screen CD player they make. I think there's a new one this year that plays DVD's in the head unit.

Here's mine, I'm due for an update, she about 2 years old, but still running good and I've never had a problem. knock on plastic.

you guys are worse than the Ricer boards. I was looking for proof that they were made in one o****ry or another. And yeah Linus, it does matter to me where it's made if I'm paying premium prices. I don't want dirt on my circuit boards. No one could answer my question either way.

Clonetek, the changer ever get hot?

I put my 12 disc in the stock location.

RTkilla: All of the MP3 players out now that are reasonably priced were not true data storage, but played MP3 format on CD's. Cool, just not as cool as a 4 GB storage capacity...

This I know. My best friend owns a soundshop that's been in the business over 10 years now. They sell both Alpine & Clarion, Panasonic, Kenwood, Rockford Fosgate, and a few others I do believe. Kicker is also one of their main lines in speakers they do promote as well.

I was at his place tonight talking trash about his Mustang and he about my new "L" I just bought today. He showed me his new Fosgate cd/mp3 player in his car. It's the top model and MAN I was impressed. He said Panasonic and Fosgate are one of the only few to use Holographic lasers and that they are next to impossible to skip as well.

His player was beat down (meaning awesome) and just flat out was solid in looks and performance. He mentioned that Clarion's latest units just released have problems w/ some cd's about not playing scratched ones (remember, they used to play everything), but that their suspension still rocked.

Cool

I have Clarion ProAudio in dash CD. No problems. It's only skipped once in the last year and I think the Pantera kicking the subs might have had something to do with it. Seems to sound pretty good to me. It's weird, some places you hear one thing, some place else you'll see the total opposite. I've seen Alpine H/U's torn up on some boards. Then here it seems (most) every loves them.
