Post 2000 L Shock ??'s

just purchased a 2000 L, used has 17.6K miles on her and looks and feels like the shocks are going. question is, just before i traded in my 98 f150 i bought the edelbrock IAS shocks for all four corners, would this be a down grade or work well on my 2000 L , any suggestion welcome.

Cool

In the first place, I doubt that your F-150 sized shocks will fit correctly on the L.
In the second place, I put IAS shocks on my 99 2 months ago(I had them on my 98 chev and liked them), and they don't work right in my opinion. When I have it leaned over and hit a bump besides, the valve opens or something and it wallows and sometimes feels like the shock broke loose. (they are the shock for 2000s. I will change to Bilsteins this summer.

You will like the Bilsteins and they are a lot cheaper.

Angry

My service guy told me the Bilsteins cost 250 each, then He told me they cost 150 each. On shockwarehouse they cost about the same, Now I hear people buy them from ford for $32~$42.
I paid $69 for the edelbrocks. They may work fine for standard suspensions but the L is a little tougher to keep up with evidently cause they cut loose right when you don't want them to, like in the middle of an off-camber rough sweeper in the mountains at speed.

Your service guy is an idiot or a lier. The Bilsteins cost less than $40.00 each. and they are better than the stock shocks. The shocks on your truck are ok unless they leaked. When I took mine off at 42,000 they were fine.
