Post Ran the "L" for the 1st time Last night

Ran several passes..the best one being 8.90 at 79mph. Unfortunately I had 1/2 a tank of Racetrac mid grade gas (I wasn't planning on racing but it was free w/admission.) Is this a decent time for a '99? It was about 85 degrees out last night. Check sig for my only mods.
Thanks.

If you want to try a 1/4 mile track the TALON group is going to Hallsville this Sunday. See http://nloc.org/ubb/Forum18/HTML/000094.html for details.

You don't want to run with too little gas in the tank. Granted, these tanks are huge, so 1/2 a tank is quite a bit of gas. Still, I believe the pickup is more towards the front of the tank...if you run it down below 1/8 of a tank and launch hard, you could actually starve the fuel pump.

Gas is heavy, but putting a little weight over the left rear tire isn't a big deal.

Stock, my truck ran 8.85 @ 79mph. This is good for high-13s. With chip/filter it has run a best of 8.45 @ 84mph on stock F1s.

You keep running that mid grade gas in it and you'll be buying another engine. Why the hell does someone spend $30k on a vehicle and then put the cheapest **** they think they can get away with in it?

Amen 4D THNDR,

You're preaching to the choir. Mid-grade gasoline is like running **** water through your gasoooleeene tank. You stupid suuuum bitch! Spend some of that cashola on some of the good stuff.
