Thumbs up

Thanks for all the info guys. I see there are quite a few other GA boys here. I live in Albany, GA. The Ford Dealership I was talking about buying my truck from is Cook County Ford.
I do have a question....is the membership thing to EAA really legit? If so thats about $3K cheaper than the deal I have going. Also do you get a break on the extended warrenty with them?

a lot of people have done the EAA deal. so it depends on your dealer. this is the first direct response i have seen from SVT, on this site, so you must be pretty important, or something, or maybe they have an office bet going, to see how many dodge owners they can switch. i think i was #1 or something

Pam, just currious. What vehicles do you drive, and when are these transmisions going to get beefed up to handle the Lightning power? Thanks and welcome to the site!

Now find a participating "X-Plan" dealer. You can get a '01 for roughly $28,500, no hassles, set price, done deal, walk in, walk out, it's yours!

I emailed the 3 SVT dealers w/in 60 miles of me and 2 of them would sell at X-Plan to me. I'm in Mobile, AL and the two dealers were Treadwell Ford (an AutoNation dealer) and World Ford in Pensacola, FL(they were a lil more reluctant, but nevertheless will do it). Both had Lightnings in stock. 2 black ones at World Ford, and 2 whites and 1 silver at Treadwell Ford.

Solid lead from BFB!
I got firm quotes under X-Plan from all three places (Beach Ford in Virginia Beach is the 3rd) and I now have to decide where to drive to (Mobile or Pensacola or Virginia Beach...)

Good Luck

Cool

I remember Sal or Jim saying something about traction control, there was a reason why the L didnt get all crazy from a standing stop and it was in the computer, we all know they drop 4 cylinders between shifts but there was something else going on there and I can't remember, I do remember that a chip fixes it.

When I first got my truck, I stood on the brake pedal and gas pedal and then let up on the brake and got maybe 15 foot of rubber.
It ain't like that no more. LOL
