venting on intercoolers
just visited blueovalnews.com and issued my intercooler prob in their servey, it hasnt been updated since 2-15-2001 with only 65 posts, think their just slow or biding their time..
i have a 2000 L with 17.6K and starting to see prob. two dealers in area are scratching their heads on the prob and, in my opinion DO NOT whan a dealership with my L for who knows how long and doing what..
just my .02

Here's some advice,
Take it in and have Gomer put dye in the intercooler reservoir and tell them you'll be back in a couple days. In the interim, visit Mr. WOT often.
When you take it in again, have them check an O2 sensor and/or spark plug for dye residue with a black light. DO NOT let them tear the top of the motor down as it is unnecessary to determine the problem.
request they contact Jake Doss at the SVT tech line (don't remember the number off-hand) or QC Dealer online and they will be enlightened as to the problem.
The parts will most likely have to be ordered and by not letting them tear into your motor, you get to drive your L while you wait. If they insist on tearing into it, your SOL, catch my drift? I'm waiting on a "your parts are in" call any day.
Best of luck to you and don't forget to fill out Tundra's intercooler thread.
