Thumbs up she really woke up with some miles!

My 1st time to the track I had 700 miles on the odometer. I could nail it off idle and have next to no tirespin. Well, I went to an 1/8-mile track tonight with just over 2,100 miles on the clock, and it was a joke off of the line! I couldn't nail it off of idle without completely obliterating the tires. I was kind of shocked. I played with some different launch techniques throughout the night, and my last one worked out the best. I stalled it up to 1,000 RPM, gave it 1/2 throttle on the initial launch, and went to WOT by 30' out or so.
It has felt stronger on the street, so I expected it to pick up some. I went to pass a car last week, and the tires tried to break loose on the 1-2 shift. A set of stickies would work well. Have I mentioned that this truck is awesome?

Cool

Yes, that can easily play a part. However, I was running the same times in the 1/8-mile spinning the tires in worse weather than when I first took it to the track. It's consistently stronger on the street, too, so I'd say that it's gained some power.

Time for you to sign up with Nitto and get some of the first 305/45-18 drag radials they produce!! I believe they should be out in the middle of the summer.

Cool

You've got that right! I definitely could've used them last night. Do you know how much they're charging for each tire?
