JDM CHIP
I ran 2 chips at WFC.Made a pass in time trials with the Diablo chip 13.32 @ 103.65,then changed to JDN flip chip ran 12.91 @ 105.75 mph, stuck with the JDM chip and ran 13.00 to qualify. Then all passes thereafter were made with the JDM chip
range for et was 12.91-13.15 speeds ranged from 103.65-105.95,anbd found out when the day was over somehow I had mistakenly flipped the switch to the street program, don't know when it happened, but consistant number were there alll day long, and the chip worked great.
truck is equipped as follows
12lb blower pulley\
JDM flip chip
Pauls High Performance throttle body
Johnny Lightning ram air
Johnny Lightning safety loop
90mm mass air
bassani full exhaust
3:73 gears
aluminun drive shaft
level 10 converter and shift kit
That's how the truck is eqipped
along with some Mickey Thompson et streets, and american racing wheels.
thats the way it was,and the JDM chip works super in my truck........
3rd place WFC
best to date 12.91 @ 105.75

Cool Looks like you had a blast. I wish I could have gone there too, but it was just to far for me.
"found out when the day was over somehow I had mistakenly flipped the switch to the street program" Man I hate when that happens. I just wonder how much better you would have ran in the race mode.
Keep up the good work

Nice runs; seems like a read on an earlier post that there weren't any JDM trucks in the top 5.
I have no reason not to believe J Man. Any comments from those posting results?
I want to get out the popcorn and beer.

NFS, I'm not going to comment on the JDM chip thing, it's not my place in this topic to do so. However you asked for the top 5 qualifiers, and that info I can supply you with.
1. Ben Nykiel - 12.53 N2O with JL Chip
2. Joe Messana - 12.670 N2O with PSP Chip
3. Johnny - 12.675 JL Chip 4500lbs
4. Sal - 12.80 PSP Chip 4700lbs
5. Lightning Bob - 12.86 JDM/SC Chip 4670lbs
You wanted the top 5 qualifiers, so there they are. Some people did run faster time than what they qualified during eliminations.

NeedFourSpeed- Don't you just love it when the truth finally finds it's way through all the BS..... Sal just posted in another post that there were only three trucks running JDM's programs in the top 10 and none were in the top 5. Funny... J Man finished third. They must have been looking at those dyno charts again and got the truth mixed up... LOL

Hankfan, once agian you are just stirring things up in an otherwise nice thread. The number I posted are the top 5 qualifiers for the class. Jerry was number 10 qualifier. He came in 3rd in eliminations. Chips don't have much to do with bracket racing. Congrats to Jerry for his 3rd place win.

Please don't flame me for this but....
SAL posted
"You say 5 of the top 10 trucks ran JDM chips. I have the list right here and I see 3 in the top ten, in the 5, 8, and 10 spots. Lightning Bob was in the 5 spot, and while he showed up after a fresh JDM tune, he was running 13.30s at 103 mph."
He posted JDM was #5, 8, and 10.
Time for the hip boots.

As a non chip user, I feel I am TOTALLY UNBIASED. Therefore I've appointed myself to judge on this matter. I've drank, thought, and reviewed this matter.
Sal was listing the QUALIFIERS.
Now, as said by the infamous Rodney King, "Can't we all just get along?"

Ughhh.. Redneck, I don't think it was Rodney King that said the "quote". I believe it was the white boy driving the dump truck that was pulled out of his truck and beat the hell out of. I believe Rodney King said something along the lines of, Pretty fast for a Hyundai, huh?

You're right. The quote is often attributed to Mr. King (Rodney, that is), but was indeed uttered by Mr. Reginald Denney (the truck driver who got beaned by the fire extinguisher). Perhaps the blow to the cranium had something to do with it...
