I seen a truck at WFC on friday running high 13s and the same truck running mid 12s on saturday.......who was it?? it was a red 01 with his tailgate off......he was really smoking.......wow.......thats really true 01 performance.........

Probably wasn't a 01 but a 99-00 with the tail light, headlight, cab lights changed.

 

No it was a 01 I know because I raced him. A red 01. I'll let him step forward if he wants, but I will say this it's fast 12.56 @ 113mph. At least that's what the time slip shows. Very nice guy and helpful. He was also on F1's.

He was running the NOS 50 shot dry kit on his truck. I talked with him for a while. Didn't catch his name though. Spiro, or Johnny would know who it is.

The funny thing is, that how can you call that such a big 01 performance. my 99 went 12.40's consistentely with a 50 shot, and my truck was in full street trim. tailgate, bed cover, stereo, and much more. my truck weighed in at 4750 WITHOUT me in it. and a 1/4 tank of gas. thats what I call 99 performance there. HEHEHEHE.

RTKILLA I would call that a big 01 performance for hitting it 100 feet out and on regular F1 tires. I would guess on slicks and hitting it out of the hole that truck would go some 12.20's. Looking back at his short times he went a 2.00 something. But I'd also call any truck in the 12's a big performance gain. Just my opinion. Saw your truck at WFC very nice ride.

I would also call it big performance seeing that we are talking about a 01 deep in the 12s and not many have been able yet

I went to WFC4 with him... His name is Ben and it's a 2001 Red L with 6K miles and only mods before WFC was Diablo chip and JL stage 2 ram air... The truck ran a 13.53 stock at GLD and with the JL products netted a 13.40 at Byron... I raced him Friday and my truck vs. his truck with street tires and chip / filter setups was mine at 13.57 vs. his 13.77 both at 101 mph... He made a impressive comeback that by the end of the week he was running 12.50 with just 50-75 shot of spray and 2# upper pulley...
