These trucks are awsome ! I headed out early this morning to take my daughter to a math contest and ran across a 98-99 Vette . He wouldn't give me a heads up ?! SNOB ! He tryed to sling past me . He got the jump from behind but only enough to squeeze by . I stayed in it and PASSED him ! No I don't race with my daughter in the truck , it was on the way back after I dropped her off .

I for one know that Ls are to be respected, but if the C5 got the jump and attempted to do the slingshot maneuver(which was a Bitc* move on his part) then there is no way in hell that he got enough of a jump to squeeze by and then you finished him off..... .... Can others please share there thoughts on this....

Yes momma wife ol'lady . That is what I ment. I'm 36 as of last Monday and I feel 21 again . I'm sorry for the post . I will not post "KILLS" anymore on this list . But I am telling the truth . I have no reason to lie about a race .

 

Keep posting the kills here. There's nothing against it and I love reading them, especially Tundras C5 kills. Hell, I'm still waiting to get spanked(and sprayed) by HANKFAN..... Odds are the C5 let off or maybe had problems. I know what everyone is saying: "Lame excuses". I would gladly put up a "$500 Put up or Shut up" match against a stock Lightning from a roll, just to prove my point. It's just not gonna happen. Now a modded L is a different story and all bets would be off. .... I love the way the L can be modded to run just as fast and faster than a C5. The L is definitely the baddest truck on the planet and will be for a long time.

 

I would be a little more worried about longevity of the L, if he is punching it with only 16 miles than beating sports cars just yet!!

yellow00: No i've never been out to the event in Franklin. When is it? I'll definately go next time it's around. I just purchased an f150 extended cab 5.4L stepside in January and loving it. I really want an L though I'm only 24 so i figured i'll get one in the next few years when i'm ready to trade this. My wife laughs at me cause i just got this and want an L so bad. I had a Gen1 L back when i was 19. It was black and a '94. I LOVED that truck at the time. It's time to get back into an L. :P

 

LikeLinus: The event is at the Sears parking lot at the Cool Springs Mall. There's lots of nice a$$ rides there. They had several Ls, some Cobras, a Z06, and many others the last time I went. I believe it goes from 4pm-7pm or whenever people start leaving. I do know that it's on every Saturday during the summer. I have no idea when it ends. Of course if the weather is bad I wouldn't bother going......

 

I believe it. I saw a newer model vette at the track last weekend. He pulled 9.4's in the 1/8. I ran 9.12. I have a stock 00. Everyone keeps telling me that I should be pulling better times, like 8.8's, but I can't get there for some reason...Thats in all trim on f-1's without spare tire...

 

Ummm, how does this relate to this post? You're talking about track times, which is racing from a stop. If the guy stated he beat one from a dead stop, yeah, then I would have no problem believing the story. That's not the case though. This post was about a slingshot maneuver that occured on a roll.
