Post Mod: What to buy?

Staying cost conscience, what should I buy for my next performance mod? Criteria:
1. No chip
2. Have $500 to spend, but would rather stay at around $200
3. Something I could put it in would be great

My ideas were: MAF, exhaust, NO2, Spark Plugs (?).

Already have Airaid.

Any suggestions?

I would get a hood ornament to help break up the air so your truck can slide through the wind better, but that is just me.

An exhaust upgrade is a waste of money on an L, unless you are interested in sound. There is very little performance to be gained. I can't understand something though, you are ready to add NO2, but you don't want to put in a chip? Where's the logic in that?

I recommend a larger lower pulley for the SC. From what I've read on these boards, that seems to be the #2 best bang/buck mod you can make, with a chip being #1.

Ford 2001 SVT F150 - I know little of NOS, so I was just throwing it out there in hopes that someone would say something. I don't want a chip due to the problems that seem to come with it.

Looks like the pulley is what I will be investing my research time on. Any particular brands? Sizes? Companys? Let the searching begin...

If you're going out to I-70 Speedway next weekend for the Lightning show You can take a look at the PSP pulley on both my 99 and Neil's 01 (he was going to get one at WFC this weekend).

Info on the I-70 show is over at NLOC in the MKLO section.

Or, almost forgot...I'll be at the Woodlands tomorrow doing a little SoloII between 9am and 2ish. Feel free to stop by if you want to look at one before then.

Zeus, forget the pully, start off with the chip it will blow you away. Besides replacing a overspun supercharger would not be cheap. Find a cool service manager, disconect you battery berfore service and you'll be fine.

Yeah, see, I'm worried about the chip problems. Seems to me like leaky intercooler is chip-related (my theory) and the whole voiding-of-warranty with a chip is also something I don't want to deal with.
The over-spun supercharger also doesn't sound to fun. Hmm...

Sounds like your best bet is the hood ornament. You should be pretty safe with that.

Cool

There have been a few owners here who have had IC leak and didn't install a chip. BTW...I had a chip in my 99 and the IC did not lose any fluid, I hope the new owner has the same luck. There will be a chip in my 01's future.
