Question Keys will not come out of ignition.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. It only happens once and a while. Basically, you can turn the truck off but you cant turn the switch back that one last step to pull the key out. The only way i have found to get them out is to take the L out for a spin around the block and try again.

I am taking the truck in to get this fixed, im just wondering if anyone else has had this experience.

Are u sure you have the transmission set into park?....you may have to have the linkage adjusted or maybe your steering wheel lock is kinda sticky?

No, really.. The key will not come out unless I take it for a spin. I tried moving the wheel, pulling forward, pulling backwards... nothing works.

NOSTROMO: Yes, the truck is in park.

Have someone sit in the drivers seat....have another go underneath the truck and move the shift linkage around while the other tries to pull the key out...

I dont know maybe you truck is begging to be driven!

It's the shifter. The same thing happened in my friend's L - when it won't come out, turn the key back to the ON position and shift to NEUTRAL then firmly put it back into PARK. It should come out then...

Question

Are you not driving it enough? How obvious does it have to be? Next is the door not unlocking! ...is your truck named Christine?
