Post Official service procedure for clunk?

Well, I looked at my truck service history in Oasis today and am not pleased. Way too many entries for 14k miles.

However, I found the actual real TSB to fix the "clunk". The disappointing thing is that my repair order in Oasis makes references completely different parts and labor performed on my truck. Unsurprsingly, its clunking again.

So, if anyone wants the TSB, which includes all the alignment specs for Lightning as well, let me know, and I will post it. I never saw this in the TSBs on www.alldata.com, and it was written Dec. 4, so its relatively new...

Please post with the alignment specs. Are the alignment specs the same for the 01. Lowered my 01 with the 3/4 bell tech and did Herb's washers. Takin' it in tomorrow for the cam bolts and alignment, and would like to know what the 01 specs are. Thanks

According to the TSB(which applies to 1999 and 2000 models), the specs are:

LH RH Total/Split
Camber -0.5" -0.5" 0" +/- 0.7"
Caster 6.7" 7.2" -0.5" +/- 0.7"
Toe -0.05 ++++/- -0.05 +/- 0.15 -0.10 +/- 0.25 (positive value is toe-in, negative value is toe out)

Tried to format that the best I could in this space....

Can you give me the TSB # for the clunk? I'm coming up on 12k miles and need to get mine fixed so I can take advantage of the one free alignment after the do the washer thing. Thanks!

I would like the TSB as well. I'd appreciate it if someone would give it to me.

If you put in the "herbs washers" you must install the cam bolt kit, so that all the alignment is done from the top. Ford was locking in the alignment on top with fixed plates, and then setting the castor stagger with the slot on the driver's side lower a arm bolt. If you center the lower a arm bolt with "herbs washers, you need the cam bolts installed to set the castor stagger, as well as toe in and camber. Herbs washers won't work without the cam bolt set!!
