What is the highest octane that can safly be used. I have Sals new race program and I have 5 gals of 112 octane. The higest octane we can buy is 91. Do you recommend a 104 for the race or can we run hotter? What ratio do I use? Thanks Dennis

Octane is not related to heat. Higher octane fuel actually burns slower than low octane. Most important is that you use only unleaded. Not low lead, unleaded. Going to super high octane will not gain you anything. Quite possibly could slow you down. Mix about 50/50 your race gas with pump super unleaded. That should take care of any potential detonation.
