I heard a dirty rumor that they are being built and stockpiled as I peck away on these keys! Isn't that right dirty rumor teller?

How many miles is that? I'd be careful that this large volumn of IC coolant doesn't go down an open intake valve while the truck is parked. Liquid doesn't compress, and can break an engine as it fires up!

You would think Ford would know this too! Obviously NOT, Just get the extended warranty and forget it. At least when the inevitable happens, it will be taken care of. In twenty years the most sought after vehicle will be the Gen 2 L with a matching #'s engine. It'll be like an original Aluminum bodied 427SC Cobra. Just think, we'll all be able to tell our grandchildren, "I used to own one of those trucks."
Sorry, I gotta stop I'm gettin' misty eyed.

Thumbs up

Hey Steve,
Mine started leaking last week. 17,799.3 miles. Mine leaks a 1/2" every 4 hours. Can you say, not a leak but a DRAIN PET ****!!!
Just changed the E/G to distilled water and let her rip!!! Don't know which will go first, the I/C or the blower snout bearing.

Later,

Dan

I know, that's what I'm thinking too. Besides loving the crap out of this machine, I think it has real potential to become a serious collector's item. I'm keeping mine because I love it but the icing on the cake is I really think it will be mucho desirable in 20+ years and a real head turner at shows.

All you new intercooler leak people, register here: http://www.bonforums.com/complaintform_lightcooler.htm We've got to keep trying.

BTW Jay, that sounds like what happened to my engine. It just let go at startup. Diagnosed with a cracked block, #2 & #6 showed low compression.

I just got my motor replaced because of a oil leak.I was told that they do not match the motor to the truck like they use to in the 60's.These motors cost about $3500.00 an that is cheap considering all the horse power you get. There is a HALO member that got a new motor due to hydro lockup because of the intercooler leak.
