Not that I'm going to put those on my '00... but a friend who is a parts manager at a local dealership called and told me Ford just bumped the list price for those ricey taillights to $180+ each! Yike!

Technically, they're not "ricey", they're euro-style. The Japanese import scene has adopted the style though, which is why your mistake is understandable. Personally, the taillights were one of my favorite parts of my 01 when I first got it. Now, they're all my favorite parts.

they are european influenced. also they completely update the truck. i find when i look at the other ones the truck looks old and dated.

struck- I ordered my 01 L headlamps and corners from ford parts online in april. Called them last week to check on the shipping status,and the guy said they where shipping that day and that I was one of the lucky ones. I asked why,and he said they just doubled in price as of may 1st!! Man, glad I ordered them when I did!

I respect your right to an opinion, but I don't quite follow your logic. Red is American, silver and clear is Euro? It follows then that you have a Euro truck, since it too is silver and clear.

(I know, I know - I was the one who pointed out the 01s were euro-style. I just didn't realize red tail-lights were an American phenomena. )
