'01 L track times
Mods:
JDM single program chip
K&N conical filter element
Track conditions:
Temp - 89 degrees
Wind - ~5-10mph head/crossing
Humidity - decently low ~45%
Best run of the day was:
13.557@100.66 w/ 2.019 60ft
8.697@81.39 1/8th
This was will full street trim, Rhino lining, tonnea cover, hitch assembly, spare tire, etc. etc. Didn't even adjust air pressure.
I did notice that when the truck shifted into second, it hesitated for an instance at ~4500rpm and then picked back up. Weird.
Any thoughts on what the truck would run on a nice cool night? I do plan on making a ram air and an enclosure to seal off the filter element fromthe engine heat. Look forward to your responses.

Lower your rear air pressure to 24 lbs, and you will launch better and get lower ET's
I wouldn't be surprised with the right air and your combo to be 13.20 at about 103-104
Make sure you have the overdrive button off, that helps with the 2001's trust me on that.

Hey! Nice run, what was your 60'? I ran my truck with simply flowmasters and the weather was nearly 70 degrees and I was able to squeeze a 13.67 @ 101.74 . I also believe it or not managed to get a 1.84 60' on the stock radials!! I think that you should be capable of running 13.10's maybee quicker given that the weather is great and that you manage to get a decent 60'. Good luck-Neil Minor
Don C,
What good does de-activating the O/D do? The truck shouldn't go into O/D. BTW, I ran with the O/D on. Could this be the slight slow in accerleration I was feeling?
Nminor, 2.019 60'.

I've done most of my runs with OD on and one or two with it off. I don't think it makes any difference at all. OD seems to make a difference if you're cruising along then punch it, but from a dead stop keeping it at WOT, OD should never engage. Am I missing something here?
Best run to date: 13.76 @ 101.09, 2.13 60', bone stock

CornerCarver,
Less than 2 hours ago I got home from Columbus, Ohio where an NMRA event was being held. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw at least 2, maybe three, '01's running in the 14.1's. Two of them ran together and both ran an identical 14.15. Not once or twice, but several runs. At least they were consistent.
I'm not sure what was going on, but everyone seemed to be having trouble by being about .6 off the mark. I ran a "sickly" 13.5 at full weight on and then some (suitcase etc.) on stock tires and was the 3rd or 4th fastest L there out of about 8 or 9 G2's. JL had the fastest and then Casper, so you've got a good one. Temp was about 80*.

Don C, ??? Not sure what you're talking about.
Here's a video of one of the runs. Just happens to be a single run so you can here EXACTLY what I'm talking about. The engine had ~20 minutes of cool down time between runs. It's very easy to hear the slowing of the blower whine at about 4 1/2 seconds.
