In need of a 99 rim
Hi,
I'm new here but have been reading for a while and have a question about my options for a new rim for a 99 L. I know of at least one or two places that sell rims that look exactly like the stock lightning rims in the pictures on their websites(thanks to you guys
and was wondering if anyone had any experience with these, are they the same as the ones from ford? If not, are they the same quality and appearance as the rims from ford?
Before you ask
, here's what happened:
Going down the road at ~40, and hear a very, VERY loud popping sound... I had hit something(still don't know what it was, walked back but saw nothing), must have been a rock small enough to not damage any ground effects but large enough to take out the two right side tires. The RF sidewall has a hole in it the size of Kansas, I assume that when it went down the rim made some serious contact with the road... hence the need for a new one. The RR tire has a slight bulge in it(don't worry it won't be used until I get 2 new tires form tirerack, once again thanks from reading this board). Expensive(and potentialy dangerous) lesson for not watching the road surface.
Thanks in advance and sorry it was so long,
David

Too much, exact same thing happend to me, RF and RR except I got pushed off the road by a black BMW 540.
I got my replacement wheels from Downs ford, at the time they where factory ford and came in a ford box, I think they still are.
