Hey, how do you remove the tailgate? I see how to unhook the two cables, but what about the "bottom part"? It is dark right now, so this may be an obvious question...

Put it up to about a 60 degree angle & pull it up

Lift up on the right side(it's notched) and pull it out then slide the whole thing to the right when it clears the tailight. The left isn't notched so it has to be pulled away from its swivel point. Put a little grease on it after you remove it, it won't be so difficult to remove next time.

BTW, doesn't hurt to get another warm body to help, it's kinda bulky and saves on scratches.
