Question 4,670#?! no way!

I have a HARD time believing that the L weighs in at a portly 4,670#! I traded in a Chevy ext. cab that only weighed in at 4,500#, and my friend's reg. cab Silverado weighs 4,100#. How can they say that the truck weighs this much? I'm going to weigh mine at the track Friday to find out for sure.

That is unreal! That makes the performance of these trucks even more spectacular.

Truck without spare, hitch, tailgate, and 1/2 tank of gas plus me (155) was 4660 at HRP just a couple of weeks ago. I plan on being under 4600 at FFW this weekend by removing the passenger seat and a little less gas.

Most I have ever weighed was 4790 in full street trim on the same scale. This scale is also NHRA Certified once a year.

Take your scale readings with a grain of salt. Most "drive on" track scales will vary greatlt. Even the same car on the same day will have very different weights. Only truely accurate way is on a level pad with four individual digital scales. Something like a "LOngAcres" setup. If the track scale has a wood deck even the humidity will affect it.
