Nytling92,

So it just pulls off? I'm talking about the whole plastic end piece (that holds the OD button) that sits on the metal shifter. Just want to make sure before I go tearing into it.

I really like the look of your interior and I'd be interested in finding out where you got some of your stuff like the billet pieces and carbon fiber, please e-mail me with some information or just post it. Thanks in advance.

Thanks,
Adam

the billet pieces came from billet & acrylic out of vero beach, fl. 561-567-7645, the carbon fiber was done by dashboardsplus 800-221-8161 ext.240 talk to robyn. tampasvt is doing the carbon look and should be posting pretty soon, maybe you 2 could hook up. yes that plastic piece with the overdrive button comes right off the end but i don't know how you would get it off without hurting it. i cut the wires under the dash and spliced them back after i remounted it. here is a blurry pic of the original shifter.

you can see the splined end on the left, and they are straight but mine was really tight. hope this helps.

Post Anyone ever taken off their shifter?

I bought an Nice aluminum shifter for my L and I haven't been able to take the end of the original shifter off the column, I was able to take the end cap and OD button off but not the rest of the handle. Anyone ever do this? I didn't want to pull too hard and break something.

Thanks,
Adam
