Post Stereo Installer

Hi,
Anybody know someone or a stereo shop close (within a 1 to 2 hr radius of
Augusta,GA) that does a great job installing upgraded stereo
components/alarm? I don't trust any local shops with the installation, I
don't exactly live where there is much competition and also don't trust the
installers. I know most of the local guys, they are OK, but I want a clean
job done on my 01 Lightning...I have purchased all the components(amp,
front/rear speakers, sub, alarm, Receiver)..

Thanks for the help,
DL

Thanks,

It looks like an awesome install job, and It looks like it would sound even better...I don't have the expertise to hook all that stuff up myself, or I would... I can probably install some of the components, but it's wiring stuff/mod's that I need help with...

I was hoping to get a name of someone or a shop's name that somebody has used and they would recommend them to do the work... What I want to install in my truck, most installers can do, I just wanted it done right and by someone who would do a great job...

Thanks,
DL

I'm getting my system installed this friday by Tweeter.......I dont know if they are a national chain or what, but they seemed to have the most JL Audio stuff and it sounds like they know exactly what they're doing.

Cool

Hey JBLsilver01,

I lived in Clear Lake, TX a couple of years ago, I Live in GA now...Texas was cool...I had a 98 F-150 Lariat and had Alliance Car Audio (Stacy) in Pasadena, TX do the install....I thought they did a very good job, good price, I had them install a Precision Power PC-250 amp to power only the JL Audio Stealthbox they installed under the rear seats and I kept the factory radio, It sounded real good...

I am getting a 2001 Red Lightning on May 10. ...I plan on putting in : Eclipse 5962 6-Disc CD changer and 54410 receiver, MBQuart PSC-216's in Front door, DKC-116's in Rear, a MTX ThunderForm FRP20G sub box behind the seats, and a Rockford Fosgate 600.4 to power the front speakers and sub, and use radio's power to the rears..

What do ya'll think? Should sound pretty awesome, thanks MR12Volt guy from the NLOC web site for recommending this system... Should be good clean sound and not too bad on the budget...

Speedracer29, I sent you an E-mail, thanks

DL

SAVE YOOUR MONEY AND RETURN YOUR REAR SPEAKERS. TRUST ME YOU WON'T HERE THEM. UPGRADE YOUR FRONT SPEAKERS TO A PAIR OF MBQUART COMPONENTS, BEST PLACE IN THE KICK PANELS AND NOT IN THE DOOR.

Hi,

I have been told to save my money and not install rears by other people also,thanks....

I am using the PSC-216's in the fronts, they are 6.5" 2-Way Components.. I'm not sure where I am going to put the tweeter(maybe vent or dash?), woofer is going in stock speaker hole..Are you talking about cutting my door kick panels to place speakers in them? If so, I'm not doing that... I'll have to do the best I can with stock speaker holes? I didn't want to install MBQuart 3-Way components because I would have to cut the kick panels...

Thanks,
DL

no cutting involved...
get a set of "Q Form kick panels".

then get a set of speakers,

put them together, and VOILA!

for the doors, i recommend a 6.5" midbass driver.

all you need to do is make a adapter plate for the speaker. a .5" thick ring of wood.

This wouldn't happen to be a guy I know by the name of DL that had a supercharged Camaro would it?

BTW, a freind of mine works at Hi-Fi Buys in Atlanta. He's the Installation Manager for the store. He recently had a car place 3rd at the Spring Break Nationals. He's good, but not cheap. He'll doa first rate job. If you want I'll post his phone number.
