Question RPM Outlet Option E

I'm thinking about getting the "E" kit from RPM this summer. RPM Outlet claims a 135rwhp increase. Will I need to fortify my bottom-end before I install this package? Does anyone else have this kit?

you get what you pay for and going cheap on this truck will just lead to tons of headaches. I use PSP, but also have ordered from JLP and JDM. I would recommend anyone of those 3 with confidence. And for the mods you are looking to do everyone will be within a few bucks of each other. Trust me as you get more and more into mods on this truck you are going to want to have a trusted tuner and the top 3 in the lightning community are psp, jlp, and jdm

I hate to disagree with everyone, but I will - the "E" kit has good, quality parts at a fair price.

Accufab, Motoblue, SCT, Diablosport, Sniper, Accel, C&L, NGK, Goodyear, etc. are all good, proven products for our trucks. I have ordered multiple times from RPM Outlet - only once did I have an issue:

I ordered the AFCO heat exchanger and the Canton aluminum intercooler tank for my L. The AFCO was backordered and they neglected to say so. Anyways, it took 3 weeks for me to get the AFCO. But, when it did come in, they shipped it overnight AND they shipped me the unit with the integrated electric fans and shroud at no additional charge (the unit I ordered was $80 or so cheaper than what they shipped me).

So, -1 for the shipping delay; +1.5 for shipping the more expensive product at no additional charge.

I know several other folks who have ordered from them without issue as well... I guess this just throws more flies in the ointment, huh ??

Just thought I'd share my experience.

Oh yeah, you ain't gonna get 135 more ponies with that kit.

Also, you are going to need a good tune to make it all live and work...

I agree with B-man. I got the E kit from them. Some stuff was on back order and they tell me either. But after calling to them sevral times, and threatening them with calling my credit card company to despute the charges, I got all of my stuff. With this kit I know I did'nt get 135 rwhp. I went from what ever a stock 99' hp is, to 363 rwhp on a hot humid day. Plus I had a tuner tune it on a dyno so it wont go KABOOOOM. DONT TUNE IT YOU'RE SELF. But all those parts for that price is fair and worth the trouble..
