First off...nice screenname! Mine comes from my liscense plate on my '90 LX.

I have not towed a boat with my L, so I cannot tell you about trying to maneuver on a wet boat ramp. That might be a problem with performance tires and this much torque...even off-idle. ???

But, I have towed a 3300lb car with a 1200+lb trailer. With a load-leveling hitch I didn't even know the car was back there. 70-75mph on the interstate, and got 10mpg. The trans didn't overheat, it didn't downshift in and out of OD at all.

When I tow a large trailer, I like to turn off the OD at least on any hint of climbing a hill. I run a large vac/boost gauge and find that the L will instantly go to about 4 lbs of boost in OD but remains on the vaccum side in third. All this at 65 mph about a 3000 lb trailer with a 2400 lb car on it (the other race car, the one below weighs 800 ).

Hope this helps

You should have no problems towing it unless your truck is lowered. Getting the boat up the ramp has never been a problem either. I have airbags in the rear of mine and love them. One last thing,Congrats on the new Malibu, I almost traded my Sanger V210 in on a Wakesetter VLX last year. Sweet boat!!
