I am seriously looking into what it will take to put some Lightning pieces on mine, but I cant get straight answers.Id like to start with the front fascia. Can anyone give me the real story and info so I can get started? Also, recommend any place to look and get the parts from. Thanks,Tony

The L bumper is a cover that fits over the stock bumper minus the upper bumper pad, and the lower valence.

Headlights are a direct swap on 99-02 Expys. you will need a new grill shell to clear the bumper cover. And depending on if you have a very very early 98 you may need a new headerpanel/core support because the headlight mounts changed in 98

do you plan on adding lightning badges or just the exterior svt pieces with your non svt F-150 badges? also are you going to do any performance upgrades?

I'm glad you posted this, because I made a similar post in the Expy section, with no replies.

My brother just bought an 00 Expy, and we are thinking of doing 99-00 or 03-04 Lightning wheels, Lightning front facia, Lightning 01-up headlights, and then adding the Lightning blower. It's a 4x2, and it's got the 4R100 and the sterling rear, so it's basically a Lightning drivetrain.

I am curious why someone said you have to change the header panel for the Lightning bumper. I am looking at both trucks here and they seem to have the same header panel?

Oh, and as for the badges, I'd put the Lightning's tailgate SVT badge on the fenders and hatch, not the Lightning logos.

This is what mine looks like now.Im not going to lower it,so something even more "unique" I guess.I plan on SVT badging on the left rear portion of the back door and the SVT logo over the front Ford emblem in the grill.I dont want to be too gaudy and come off like its something thats its not.
As far as driveline,I would like to put a full Lightning in it,but thats out of my range.First is the front fascia, then Ill have to get the 4.6 rebuilt or another motor in BEFORE I put a blower on it.164k miles+blower=carnage.Ive got a set of seat covers Im going to get the SVT logo on also.

5th post down, the HD conversion.Though its unique, just not my thing and its been done already
