o1Bolt: Am guy that works for me has a Prowler and loves it. He is the president of the FL chapter of the Prowlers club. I love the TT, if it will just hold together.

BTW, I apololgize to the group for being instrumental in bringing these idiots over from yuppie central. Just Plain Cliff, or whatever the hell your name is, I've probably driven more sports cars than you dreamed of driving, and owned a rather good array of British & German and Italian machinery. Get a life A$$hole.

I know most of you are probably sick and tired of this thread, I know I am...but...I have to reply to some of you:
99dech - I never gave a definition of what a car enthusiast was. I just stated that if you guys really were, then you wouldn't talk s@@t about a car like the TT, like it or not, it's still a sports coupe. I have passed by many perf. trucks-including your Ls-and have always looked, admired them. And that's the whole point, I will always admire the beauty of the CAR, no matter what the brand was. The fact that I spent xxx amount of $ on the TT has nothing to do with me as a person, and most surely does not make a TT owner a snob, yuppie, etc. I used to drive an '89 MR2 before my TT purchase and enjoyed it immensly.
I would not have come on this board if it wasn't for your Skydive member. I just feel sorry for anybody that buys a car and then starts talking s**t about it. He doen't deserve any car, for that matter...
Felonious-Before you call the Audi "set" antagonistic, take a look at your own ranks...
Frans- I never apointed myself god-king, and I never said a car enthusiast would not buy a truck. I just question some of your members understanding of a "car" person. What, because TT owners don't drag their cars, they're not enthusiasts? Please...
You really do make me laugh... And, BTW, the TT board is a pretty nice place to be, as I'm sure this is too, but nobody from the TT board came here to voice their dislike of the L, like your "good friend" Skydive did on our board. I'm sure you understand...But wait, probably not, your IQ being what it is, you think of all Audi owners as snobs.
To the rest of you:
Sorry for disturbing your peace here, and I think Just Plain Cliff's post sums it up best. Ta ta

Someone stated before that the only similarity was the four wheels, but that is dead wrong.
Looks like there are lots of misconceptions between the two car groups, and as diverse as they are they DO have lots of things in common; are all true motoring enthusiasts!
There is a passion for motoring that is a common bond. I hope to one day hook up with some of you guys and talk shop objectively, and exchange information on a wide variety topics.
Peace out!

Veloce, you misread my post. I didn't mean the entire Audi set was antagonistic, I was referring to the antagonistic sub-set of Audi drivers. You are included in that sub-set.

speedin bob: 12 seconds, that's impressive really. so that extra 2 seconds makes you feel how special? 12 seconds, 14, whatever. There are plenty of cars out there that would smoke your 12 second truck and my TT, who cares? well, obviously you do. Do you blow past someone in a nice car or truck on your way home in the evening and walk in the house feeling pumped up, that Life is complete because you can smoke the tires on your truck? If so you really need some self esteem counciling, seriously. There are obviously quite a few nice, friendly, truck enthusiasts here. There are also seem to be a lot of people like you. We probably have about the same ratio on our side too though. But anyway, i'm done here. To all those nice people, enjoy your trucks. To guys like you, speedin bob, whatever.
Damn rednecks, Since when does a quarter mile determine the overall quality and performance of a car? I guess since my Prelude can run a 1/4 in 10 sec I'm better than all of you and my car is the best. Stupid truck driving rednecks...go buy a funny car if all you interested in is dragging. You all probably watch a lot of TNN too don't you?
Bottom line, since you rednecks cannot tell the difference between classes of cars -
Lightning = Ford POS, superfast drag pickup
TT = Euro Luxury sport coupe/roadster
My Prelude = Hooked up Rice Rocket that was plain sporty coupe daily driver.

Eric':
Thanks, chief. It's eerie - the little boy in the photo looks almost EXACTLY like me! If you see a silver Lightning fly by with one of those goofy hats sticking just up over the steering window, THAT'S ME! Give me a wave...
'Dive69:
I've got your back, buddy. I can't ride you too hard, as I technically "own" (wife's car) a prissy German vehicle, too (a damn ML320, of all things).
'Zatl:
Picking on Speedin' Bob? You just made the list, Skippy. Don't stoke my ire, son.
Please, PLEASE, let there be some powder puff with a TT at tomorrow night's cruise-in-and-smoke-a-rama in Cincy. I'll lay the supercharged smack down on that BIZZZZZZ-OTCH!
