Question Blower lubrication?

Does anyone know if the blower gear lube is pressure fed from the engine or does it have its own source?

Mike

It has it's own source, and if I remember right it had to be changed at like 100K miles or something like that. Any one who knows for sure on the interval, step in here.

The oil service time is 30000 miles and is done through the allen plug on the front of the supercharger. If you change it you can use a vacume brake bleeder to drain it. The oil smells very bad. Buy two bottles of oil one will not fill it. Ford wants about 21.00$ for one bottle or you can get the same exact oil from GM for 5.00$. They use the same oil in their Eaton supercharged cars. If you can't find any oil post a message my wife is a manager in the east coasts biggest GM parts center. Scott

Front of blower has oil to lube. The gear grive for second lobe. The rear bearings are sealed. Make shure to have extra oil.. I had to wait 2 days . When working on owners sons car. Sucked out fluid, and did not have enough to refill. Was a SC Tbird.

What kind of oil actually goes in? Is it light weight oil? Also how do you know when its refilled properly if you have to suck it out the allen hole on the front of the blower. Thanks Jeff

Ray, kind of scarry when you see what your past self wrote, huh. Also amazing how much we've learned in the last two years. Except I don't think I have ever heard of a part # for the blower lube.
