Cool Found solution to high gas prices

With gas prices going through the roof I have been thinking of getting a more economical daily driver. Think I may have found something that fills the bill.

Hey,

One of those might be pretty cool. Just think, a 900 lbs. base uopn which to superchagre, turbocharge, with a nice shot of NO2. 790HP from a nice little .5 liter 2 cylinder. Then try and race one with one of your "L's." Betcha you won't be laughing then.
LOL

$14900 / $2.50per gal * 10mpg = 59600 miles wonderfully delightfull 400 hp. I'll take the L every time.

My wife and I checked them out and talked with the "developers" at a car show several months ago. They're way cool. They also have a sporty version which was, of course, the one we liked most.

They also make couches from rear seat of classic cars, but they're ugly in person.

Cool

I hope nobody took me seriously. I think this is one of the silliest vehicles I have ever seen, and a deathtrap to boot. However, I have thought about getting a more economical daily driver, not so much for the economy as to reduce the wear and tear on the L. and exposure to the CA traffic. Was thinking about a Civic del Sol VTEC, but then I wouldn't have the fun of driving the L. Here's a pic of an economy car I wouldn't mind having, but I don't think Suzuki will ever actually mass produce it. In fact, when I asked the Suzuki rep at the L.A. auto show about it he looked at me like I had leprosy.

AVIOD THE DEL SOL. That was one of the worst cars I ever owned! My '76 pacer was better. I will admit that the del sol was fun to drive but it was a pos. I traded it in at 67,000 needing a third set of trans berings. The dealer tried 5 times to fix the roof. Eventually the leak moved behind the passengers seat so I suffed a towel back there and gave up. After about 40,000 it started to run hot and nobody could figure out why.

When my Mom was buying her Toyota I got to talking to the salesman and the del sol came up. He laughed at me and said the del sol was the worst car Honda ever built.

I did like them (not joking). There are many small stores in our area that we shop which are only 1 to 2 miles away. Also, in comparison to L.A., the roads getting to them are small and traffic is light.

Thus, we have considered a small commuter such as the Sparrow. A motorcycle would be ideal if it didn't rain so much. This thing is covered and has three wheels. And, why fire up the Lightning just to drive it 1 1/2 miles?

Cool

Well of course your '76 Pacer was a better car. One of the best cars ever built.
I have a friend with a '75 who offered to give it to me if I restored it. If I had not just sunk $85K into a boat I would seriously consider it. It would be so cool to tool around in a Pacer with a built 302 in it. If any of my internet start-ups take off (very doubtful) I still might do it.

P.S. Which suburb, SCAdian? I grew up in Deerfield and Winnetka, a looooooong time ago.
