I have owned both Pace Edwards and a Roll N Lock. Roll N Lock is by far the better of the two. Just by looking at it you can see more engineering and thought went into the Roll N Lock. I installed it myself and it was very simple. There were only a few holes in the tailgate and clamps along the bed rails. It is very reliable and strong.

Pace Edwards I owned was absolutely horrible compared to the Roll N Lock. The vinyl fades, there are holes in the bed, it is not well constructed, the lid is plastic, there are two big screws sticking out on top of the lid, you must get into the bed to unlock the cover, and it leaks.

Roll N Lock has clamps on every cover that it sells. Pace Edwards only offers clamps as an option which makes you think 'Are they reliable?', my guess would be no.

Also, Roll N Lock has several patents, while Pace Edwards has none. Think about it. Visit their site http://www.rollnlock.com

Seems odd to come out of nowhere and bring a 2 year old post back to the top on first post. Smacks of intentional marketing....

I may be wrong. I'll see what I can find with some research

I was searching "rollnlock" on Google and I saw this post so I posted something. I didn't even realize that it was this old.

Thumbs up

I've had an original Pace-Edwards top for 3 years with no problems, looks like new, only complaint is some seepage around tailgate in heavy rain. Top is definitely aluminum , and I don't have to get into the bed to lock/unlock it.
