porterfield brake pads review

I did read your posts... every single word... I especially liked how you start with a "Great A+++" rating and then 1 day later pretty much trashed them - too much brake dust... horrible smell... people gawking - think you could have waited a day and given us a complete review?
Anyway, I never said you had fade... i said after the smell, then they would have started to fade... point being you're overheating them if they smell.
And Mr. big bad x-superbikeracer, I'm just a humble farm boy, I wasn't giving you any advice... I was giving readers another data point... my Porterfield pads dont smell until overheated and they dust about same as stock (lots with both w/hard braking).
Finally I questioned if you had done hard brake testing (play at the edge of ABS, whatever) with the stock brakes... I have, and mine smell nasty and dust a TON.
BTW, for most people "trashed around for 42 miles really hard" does not equate to "just playing around on the edge of the anti-lock system"... may wanna work on that word choice.

I wasn't ably to ever acheive brake fade, but I don't think you can on small flat Texas roads.

Don't you two guy have some leather or something to try on, maybe a parade, go away.
Also please edit your picture this isn't the place to find one of those types of dates, get a hotel room or something. Keep it in the closet, for the rest of us.

Igotogether, I have a set of Porterfields here to install. Did you turn the rotors prior to pad installation?
If you did't, I can see why it took a little time to break in. They recommended that I take a light cut on the rotors to get them straight and deglazed.
I'll keep you posted on how mine work.

The smell means you are overheating the brakes... 42 miles of abuse... Yikes! First the smell then the brakes go bye bye (fade).
Mine dont smell at all under normal use ?!
Overhearting the stock brakes also produced the nastiest smell i've ever come across.
My porterfields dust about the same as stock...
Did you do 42 miles of abuse on your stock pads?

I love how people assume things?
Please read the above post fully, I never experienced fade. I was just playing around on the edge of the anti-lock system. BTW these brakes/pads are good up to about 60 MPH where I can lock them up until the anti-lock kicks in.
No flame just FYI I'm a x-superbike racer, but thanks for your advice.
