I have heard some tales of the fuel maps for OD off being better than with it on is this true any track results? Thanks ahead!

I think that is incorrect,I have never noticed ANY difference. I believe it is only to lock out OD

I believe th only reason I went faster with it off is that the trans was shifting right before the end of the 1/4 mile. I let it rev at the end and went a 1/10th faster!

 

I would think it is faster with it off, but then only Spock would know for sure..........

I've said it before and I'll say it again. It doesn't even shift into OD until 120-125MPH. I only know one "L" that even comes close to that so with the rest of us it isn't a factor.

People are most likley feeling the trans shift as they go thru the lights becouse they are feathering/lifting out of the throttle at the lights and bang the conputer tells the gearbox to shift. If you would stay in the gas for the next 1/4 mile or so the shift would be at about 120. Just as designed. Remember not to lift B4 the lights or the box will upshift and not go back down.
