Unhappy Bumper Lower Grill Mounts Broken

This past Sunday here in Metro Detroit area
was an excellant day to start really cleaning up the "99" Lightning and I was debuging the front bumper and saw some bugs
that were on the outside edges of the lower
bumper grill so I sprayed the area so it could soke a little and when I went to wipe it off the entire left side was loose and
appone closer inspection I found there were
only three screws on the right side that held
it from falling off completely. There is no
evidence of being hit or damaged from impact
and no scrapes under the bumper? Has anyone
had this grill just start falling apart at
the mounts around the grill? I found seven
molded screw mounts broken starting right of
center and going all the way around to right of center on the bottom? I know that I cruise fast on the E-way, but have I got other vibration in the front I don't know
about that might cause the mounts to break
like this??

When I put my billet grilles on, my lower was the same. Most likely when your truck was delivered it was scraped off the trailer really bad and that bent the bottom grill which broke the screws. thats what happend to me. Dealer tried to hide the scrap and get it fixed, but I was waiting for 8 months the get mine, so I drove by everyday to check up on its arrival.

Now that you mention the Car Hauler possibility I do have a scrape on that left side from hitting most likely being off loaded when delivered. But good news when I
took it in to be looked at by the dealer and
they will (have) ordered a new part. So my
worries are over for now until they have to
do the actual work, then I'll really worrey
for sure!! Thanks for reminding me on that!!
