Hallett Racing Circuit, Tulsa OK ..... excellent time Saturday !
All,
These are some pics of Stan's (aka Ruslow) 99 L Sunday at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit outside of Tulsa Oklahoma. Stan was gracious enough to take me for an on-board track session and I can honestly say that the Generation II Ford Lightning and Stan's diligent work has produced a formidable auto-x combination to be reckoned with! I just bought my new Sony digital camera Thursday and am currently playing with all the features (same exact model as PBGas - his pics of the '01s rolling out of the plant at distance sold me one this model !). When Stan comes back to Hallet, I would like to get some .mpgs of what it is like on board this machine at WOT on the straights and going through the "twisties". That S/C and exhaust-note combination at WOT is very nice .... love it !
Stan, is a master of his craft and a top-notch "wrench-turner", "gear head" .... and a FORD LIGHTNING man !
The pics of the silver '01 L belongs to Joe/"Oilwell" on the NLOC board. I was really looking forward to seeing the '01 L in person and it certainly has a presence about it. The clear corners and the redesigned wheels look tough!
Also, Alan Chavis and wife Cheryl were there running their Cobra and BMW Z3. Good to see you again Alan !
On a side-note, hopping on the Cimarron Tpk. going back to Tulsa while paying the toll, I look over and see a '00 red L with Kansas plates (older couple inside). I figured "What the heck!". I take off hard ('00, 5.4L, ext.cab Lariat) but they caught up VERY FAST...
Well, on to the pics ....
