how would you

Hello all, I was wondering how you shift your lightning when racing. Do you manualy go from 1-2-drive, or do you just jump on it from the get go in drive. I have a jdm valve body in my 00 lightning along with, air raid intake,90mm maf, billet throttle body, pully kit, twin walbro fuel pumps,headers,3"cat back exhust, and a predator programmer. It seems to me that I get to red line to fast going thru the gears, and am in fear that I will damange the motor. Any thoughts on this. Thanks Ben

NFG on manually shifting a Lightning, even at the track you simply leave it in Drive (OD OFF) and just Stomp it in D.

As for red lining too quickly hey thats a good problem
Of course if your shift points are too high I would recommend lowering them

What Rob said. Do NOT manually shift your L when running at WOT.
